EICR in Bolton – fixed prices from £119

Much of Bolton's housing is older stone and brick terraces built around the town's former mills, in areas such as Daubhill, Deane, Halliwell, Great Lever and Farnworth, alongside newer estates in Horwich, Westhoughton and around Middlebrook. Many terraces are let privately, and landlords in England must have the electrics in a rental inspected and tested at least every five years and give tenants a copy of the report.

Our fixed EICR prices are set by the number of bedrooms: studio £119, 1 bedroom £129, 2 bedrooms £149, 3 bedrooms £169, 4 bedrooms £199 and 5 bedrooms £229. Each additional consumer unit beyond the first is £25. HMOs, commercial premises, three-phase supplies and homes with six or more bedrooms need a manual quote. Remedial work is not included and is priced and agreed with you separately before it starts.

In older terraces we often see installations that have been extended or partly rewired over the years, and some still have older consumer units. That does not change our fixed EICR price, but it can mean the report lists items to fix. If it comes back unsatisfactory, you can book remedial work and list the coded items so the job is priced properly before it starts.

Homeowners selling or buying in Bolton also book EICRs to understand the condition of the electrics. If the property is a house in multiple occupation, choose HMO and we will quote it separately.
